You Talk and They Really Do Listen.

Parents,
May 11th is Underage Drinking Prevention Day.

CDAC would like to remind parents that alcohol continues to be the most widely used substance of abuse among American youth. Having conversation with your children about underage drinking lets them know you care, and it helps your child know what your expectations are concerning alcohol.

There are some great video examples on how to get the conversation started.  Go to NIDA Teens at https://teens.drugabuse.gov or you can play a game on Kahoot with your child from NIDA at Kahoot It – 2021 National Drug & Alcohol IQ Challenge.

Studies have shown that the most influential person in a child’s life is their parent or an adult that they trust.  Be that person for a child.
