CDAC knows that prevention is the key to reducing substance abuse.
In coordination with the Drug Enforcement Administration, CDAC would like to remind community members to dispose of expired, unwanted, and unused prescription drugs safely.
*Remember every day is an opportunity to dispose of unwanted or old medication.

Proper Disposal of Prescription Medications at Home Safely
- 1.Take your prescription medicine out of its original container.
- 2.Mix medicine with cat litter or used coffee grounds.
- 3.Put the mixture into a disposable container with a lid or into a sealable bag then throw away in the trash.
- 4.Mark through with a black sharpie your name and address on your prescription bottle then throw the bottle away.
