Mr. Ed Ellis named CDAC’s first Board Member Emeritus

PENSACOLA — CDAC honored the exemplary community service of two local men during the organization’s Annual Board Meeting and Luncheon held on Dec. 6.

During the meeting, CDAC Executive Director Ms. Leashia Scrivner presented the 2017 Spirit of Prevention Award to Mr. Leroy Williams, community coordinator for the Escambia County Neighborhood and Human Services Department. CDAC’s Board of Directors also recognized outgoing board member Mr. Ed Ellis by granting him the title of Board Emeritus.

Mr. Williams has for many years supported prevention efforts across Pensacola and Escambia County.  He is a strong supporter of CDAC’s Project Boost program at Ebonwood Community Center and the annual National Night Out events.

Mr. Ellis served on CDAC’s Board for more than 19 years. Five of those years were spent on the board’s Executive Committee as Vice President, President, and Past President.  Mr. Ellis was named CDAC’s first Board Member Emeritus in honor of the longtime support he has shown to CDAC.
