While dealing with grief and loss can be difficult for any bereaved individual, stigmatization in cases of suicide makes it even more complicated for the suicide bereaved. This training will increase participant awareness of the additional complexities that stigmatization brings to those who are left behind when a loved one completes suicide. Participants will learn about the grief process and explore the various ways in which stigmatization can disrupt healing after a loss and prevent suicide. Participants will also learn what is being done to address this need and how they themselves can be of help to the suicide bereaved and prevent suicide from happening again.
